We want Rugby at the Olympic Games:

Rugby should be in the Olympic because it allows participants of all shapes and sizes as well as being a fantastic spectator sport. Also the level of sportsmanship and respect shown by players to referees means that the game would fit perfectly with Olympic values and would be a great example to other sports (particularly football!).

It would be big for rugby and even bigger for the olympics!

Well football is...Why not Rugby?

It is the best competitive team sport around but is very under-represented. A place on the Olympic stage would do much to boost the popularity of this sport, which embodies the olympic ethos better than any other.

The Team game is an opportunity for participants of all nations to work together for national pride. Rugby imparticular emphasises the element of global union in its World cup anthem "World in Union" which demonstrates the sports commitment to the olympics ethos of celebrating diversity and nationality whilst maintaining common principles like honour and sportsmanship.

Its the peak of competitive team sports. if football is an olympic sport, rugby should be too.

Already a vaste amount of nations play rugby and 7s is a very open game I think any nation could make a good go at it. It would be extremely entertaining even for people who do not usually watch rugby.

It would provide a fantastic spectacle. Rugby 7s is easy to understand for the uninitiated spectator. It would grow the women's game throughout the world in particular. It has the best supporters culture in sport - the Olympics needs it back.

Rugby is a truly international sport which is constantly growing and appealing to a wider audience. By including it in the Olympics would showcase its qualities as a truly team sport and if in 7-a-side format, would be an attractive format for the uninitiated to follow.

inclusive for men and women and pretty evenly matched accorss alot of nation in 7's. Saw one of the best sports matches even in hong Kong 7's when Kenya beat New Zealand.

Because it is equally if not more than s sport than anything else currently played in the Olympics!!

It's not rocket science. Rugby is a mass appeal global sport with huge pulling power. It is more akin to the traditional gladiatorial competitions of the original olympic tournament than any other sport I know. When you look at the minority activity that is in the olympics these days it is a no brainer.

Same as Soccer, compeatrive team sport.

Because Rugby Union unlike most other sports brings fans and communities together, side by side, seat by seat in enjoying new friendships, competition and raising a spirit of fair play. The question really should be, "Why shouldn't Rugby be a part of the Olympics?"
