The Lions Tour, Tri-Nations and Six Nations show the widespread appeal of Rugby on Global basis together with the increasing prominence of so called lesser nations like Argentina meaning that to exclude Rugby would not only be detrimental to the ongoing development of the sport on a global basis but would also leave it as one of the worlds only professional sports excluded from the Olympics.
