Rugby is a major sport and its unbelievable in this day and age that it does not feature in the olympics. If lesser sports are part of the olympics why is rugby not in it. It should have been for many years. Soccer is so why is rugby being left out.

Why not? Sevens rugby has a wide a competitive field than most other Olympic sports.

Because soccer is in it and rugby is better than soccer

Whether 15's or 7's or (mixed) tag, it's a great game to play and to watch. Even after 23 odd years it has not tired me. In comparison soccer is soooooo boring. And what about the atmosphere it would bring with it. Rugby supporters like a good time (like the hockey players) without the violence/aggresion seen at some events...

Firstly it should be sevens, it would so help rugby in developing second and third tier countries .

because it's a global sport that embodies the essences of great sportsmanship.

It has shown itself to be a far more respectful game than soccer and the code of conduct is broken much less. It has such a fantastic competitive but respectful spirit and is always a spectacle where as soccer can be played with the back 4 holding on to the ball for minutes at a time. A more important question why not put rugby in the olympics?
