We want Rugby at the Olympic Games:

It should be an Olympic sport because it is one of the best spectator sports in the world and also it is strong in countries that don't usually do too well in the Olympics and so would give those countries a big boost

It is in the Commonwealth Games so why not the olympics. It is more physical than pistol shooting and should be introduced at London 2012.

Rugby: the embodiment of athleticism, skill, respect (for the laws, for the ref, for the sport) a selfless will to win, courage and teamwork. Great to watch too. I can't understand why it isn't an Olympic sport already: England for GOLD!!

Firstly it is a game that has been an international sport a lot longer than some of the current olympic sports. Up until just over a decade ago it was an amateur sport. It is a global sport, unlike baseball and it has a huge capacity to draw spectators. With the current stuctures in place it could be an under 21's comp which still offers great skill levels, development opportunities and a festival
