We want Rugby at the Olympic Games:

It's a great game of strength and endurance and has been played for years. It's time to recognize it.

I think Rugby Seven's should be added to the Olympic's because it is an internationally recognised sport, that requires amazing physical fitness and skill level's. It is very entertaining and fun to watch.

The 2007 World Cup proved what a global sport rugby has become. The 7 aside format is fast, exciting and easily fit into a short tournament which would provide quality competition and entertainment as an olympic sport.

Rugby exhibits many facets of the the ideal team sport for the spectacle of the Olympics.

A physically demanding sport involving the use of strength, individual thinking and team strategy. The best example of a full embodiment sport if ever I saw one. Better than handball anyway!

This is a sport for everyone and anyone. It encourages teamwork, comraderie and discipline and the seven-a-side version provides an exciting spectator event even for those with little knowledge of the game. Rugby is spreading around the world and doing wonderful things for communities and young people and the Olympics would be the perfect showcase.

Popularity of the sport

7s rugby is the most exciting and entertaining multi-tiered tournament sport there is! Why should it NOT be included in the Olympics?!

Or more to the point, why should such a fun, interesting and amazing TEAM game not be an Olympic sport!!!!

I only started playing rugby at 19. I wish that I had had the opportunity sooner! inclusion in the Olympics would make the sport more widely taught to you people and encourage more girls to get involved! The rugby world cup is the 3rd biggest sporting event in the world... isnt that saying something?!

Why should Rugby be Olympic? Because table tennis and badminton are Olympic sports.
